The Yoruba film industry has been thrown into mourning following the death of Shina, the only son of veteran actress, Peju Ogunmola Omobolanle.
Shina, who recently completed his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme, was the son of Ogunmola and her husband, renowned comic actor Sunday Omobolanle, popularly known as Papi Luwe.
The tragic news reportedly reached the 56-year-old actress while she was on a movie set, leaving her and the family devastated.
Tributes have continued to pour in from colleagues, friends and fans, who described the loss as a painful blow to one of Nollywood’s most respected families. Many remembered Shina as a vibrant young man with a promising future who brought joy and pride to his parents.
Details of the funeral arrangements are yet to be announced by the family.
